水路を越えて
一段高い場所に建つこの建物は
広い庭を有した、風光明媚な建物です
この家で生まれ育ったおばあさんは、嫁いだ後も、この家に帰ってきた時には、畳に寝転び、庭からの風を感じ、縁側で過ごす時間をとても大切にされていました。
山の麓に建つこの家には、豊富に水が流れています。その水音を聞きながら、幼い頃のことを思い出していたのかもしれません。
忙しい日常を離れ、目を閉じて、美しい水音に耳を傾ける。そんな五感で感じるひと時を、現代の人にも持っていただきたいという想いから、このお宿を作りました。
Even after she married and moved away, the elderly woman who was born and raised in this house would return from time to time.
She would lie on the tatami mats, enjoying the breeze from the garden, or sit quietly on the veranda cherishing each moment.
Built at the foot of the mountains, this house is flanked by an abundant waterway. Perhaps listening to the sound of the water reminded her of her childhood. We created this inn with the hope that modern people could also have a place to escape from daily life, and take in the peaceful surroundings with all five senses.

昔ながらの日本家屋では、四季の移ろいを直に感じることができます。
庭に咲く季節の花に春を感じて、座敷から雨に濡れた美しい緑を眺める。暑い日は、井戸の水に足を浸し、縁側でスイカを食べ、夕暮れ時、遠くに聞こえるお囃子に心躍らせる。風呂上がりの夜風に、夏の終わりを感じとり、秋の夜長は、虫の音をBGMにお喋りの時間。
寒い日は身を寄せあって炬燵でみかんを食べる...
忙しい日々の中、忘れてしまっていた懐かしい感覚に出会えるかもしれません。季節毎に変わる景色の中でゆったりとした時間をお過ごしください。
A traditional Japanese house allows the inhabitants to feel directly the changing of the seasons.
Spring is heralded by the seasonal flowers blossoming in the garden, and the view of verdant green leaves wet with rain. Cool off on a hot summer day by soaking your feet in water drawn from the well, or eating a slice of watermelon on the veranda. And at dusk, your heart quickens to the sound of lively festival music. Autumn is for chatting long into the night accompanied by the chirping of insects.
And in Winter, sit around the kotatsu (a low table with a quilt and heater) while sharing mandarin oranges.
There is no better way to appreciate the serenity of the old Japanese lifestyle, than by experiencing a stay in a traditional Japanese house.

2階客間
寝室は2階に3室の和室があります。お布団は最大で9枚敷くことができます。寝具を押入から出し、ご自分で敷いていただくスタイルです。
There are three Japanese-style rooms on the second floor serving as bedrooms. You can lay out up to 9 futons. The bedding is stored in the closet, and you lay it out yourself.

の過ごしかた
庭
季節の移り変わりを楽しめる広い庭があります。手水鉢に水が落ちる音が静かな庭に響きます。
座敷、寝室、縁側どこにいても庭を感じられ、様々な角度から庭を眺め、季節を感じることができます。
郡上の山や川の美しい風景が、庭に表現されており、宿で過ごす間、いつも身近に自然の営みを感じていただけます。
Garden
There is a spacious garden where you can enjoy the changing seasons. The sound of water falling into the stone basin echoes gently in the quiet garden.
You can appreciate the garden from various angles, including the tatami room, the bedroom, or the veranda.
The beautiful scenery of Gujo's mountains and rivers is reflected in the garden, so you can always feel the presence of nature during your stay.

We have a collection of books (including photo books and a book in English) that convey the history and culture of Gujo Hachiman.
Bath and Toilet

外廊下を通って、お風呂・トイレに行く、日本の昔ながらのスタイルです。
The bath and toilet are accessed via an outdoor corridor, following the traditional Japanese style.
(In early summer 2025, an indoor shower room, toilet, and washroom are scheduled to be added.)

昔ながらの土間のおくどさんの面影を残しつつ、座敷に面して大きなカウンターキッチンを作りました。
大人数で料理を楽しんだり、カウンターで庭を見ながらお酒やお食事をお楽しみください。
While retaining the traditional earthen floor and wood-burning stove, we have created a kitchen with a large dining counter facing the tatami room.
Enjoy cooking with a large group, or relax at the counter with a view of the garden, savoring food and drinks.
